The Tides and The rains came to Sargent these last two weeks and it is great to have this inflow of fresh water. That combined with October Tides and you are setting up for big fall action. Redfish will invade backwater lakes in October and November months looking for food. They love these high tides and really get turned on this time of the year.
This time of year use either dead shrimp with head on on leader with a slip sinker. Also, a live mullet on the end of a blood red leader really gets them bonkers and wanting plenty of action. Live shrimp works well but I found that the reds are hungry for anything. As far as plastics go I like anything that is root-beer to Chartreuse edge.
